A credentialed, retired federal law enforcement officer, Tim spent 20 years in the public safety, law enforcement and military community. Co-
Tim saw combat in South Lebanon in the late 1990’s with Israel’s historic Mahal unit before returning to the United States to embark on a career in natural resource protection.
Tim began his NPS career at the Statue of Liberty in 1999 and subsequently worked or was detailed across 10 different NPS units including Yosemite NP, Lake Mead NRA, Glen Canyon NRA, Sandy Hook NRA, Organ Pipe NM, Coronado NM, Great Sand Dunes NP, Sequoia and Kings Canyon NP and Death Valley NP.
Over the course of two decades Tim has participated in security assignments in and around the State of Israel and the United States, worked directly, and in a support capacity with JTTF, HIDTA and local interdiction units across the western United States and in 2010 was the second responding officer to an active shooter event at Sequoia National Park, successfully taking the shooter into custody with no loss of life.
Since leaving the National Park Service Tim’s work has involved research and analysis of environmental impacts in the State of California, research on the national security implications of global natural resource degradation and founding the Sierra Technical Advisory Group LLC.
A speaker of three languages, Tim holds a Bachelors Degree in Communications and a Masters Degree in Public Policy with a specialization in California’s water scarcity.
