Dennis graduated with distinction from San Diego State University in 1990 and from the University of San Diego School of Law in 1993. Dennis has practiced law in California since 1993. Having handled hundreds of cases and legal matters in the intervening years he has tried over 40 cases in various forums across the United States with a record of winning 90% of his litigations by judgment or award.
Since 2005, Dennis has owned and managed two successful hotels located in close proximity to Sequoia National Park serving patrons and guests from all over the world. Dennis also participates as a member or officer of several local boards, committees and organizations in matters ranging from water districting to public safety.
Since 2008 Dennis has been a volunteer firefighter and EMT with his county and has responded to hundreds of incidents including medicals, swift water and rope rescues, traffic accidents, wildland/structural fires and technical search and rescue operations.
Dennis enjoys extreme fitness events. He has completed over 12 Ironman competitions (including the Hawaii World Championship, twice), set multiple course records in trail running, has ridden overland from Death Valley to the Mt. Whitney Portal four times and has journeyed by bicycle from Boulder, CO to the Grand Canyon in four days and ran from the South Rim to the North Rim and back to the South Rim on the fifth day. Dennis has climbed Mt. Kilimanjaro, Mt. Rainier and many other mountains and peaks across Europe, Africa and the Americas. Dennis is an avid outdoorsman and environmentalist who loves to hike, climb, hunt, fish, swim, bike, run, kayak, ski, dive and explore the wonderful world we live in. Dennis and his family reside in central California.
